Non-Governmental Organisations in World Cities: Activities Matrix
Peter J. Taylor, Robert E. Lang and Troy Gravitt
These data constitute the basis of part of the analysis in New political geographies: global civil society and global governance through world city networks (first published as GaWC Research Bulletin 149).
The data are a subset of GaWC Dataset 17; they include just NGOs of which there are 63. Using the same criterion to cope with the sparseness of the matrix, cities are restricted to those with total practice scores of at least 5. 149 cities qualify.
